Child Care Development Fund State Plan
The Iowa Department of Human Services, Division of Adult, Children and Family Services, is seeking input on the states Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) State Plan for Federal Fiscal Years 2012 –2013. Federal regulations require the state to notify the public regarding the states child care assistance program and the efforts to improve the quality of child care in Iowa. Iowas draft CCDF State Plan will be available for review and comment from May 16th thru June 10th, 2011. The plan will be available after 3:00 p.m. on May 16th. Comments will be accepted by email or US postal mail until 4:30 p.m., Friday, June 10th. A public hearing will also occur on June 6th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Hoover State Office Building, in Room 7 on Level A. Persons interested in providing comment but unable to attend in person may access the hearing via conference call. Dial in by calling: 866-685-1580 and enter conference code 515-281-7272. Comment provided orally (in person or over the phone) on that day must also be submitted in written form. Oral comment is limited to 5 minutes per person.
