National article about Iowa's Community Partnership
"IOWA: Community Partnerships become a reliable framework for a statewide transformation" In 2007, the Center for the Study of Social Policy asked Andrew White to come to Iowa and examine recent child welfare reform efforts and the impact of Community Partnership. Andrew White is director of the Center for New York City Affairs at The New School, where he writes on politics, government, neighborhoods and social policy. He is editor of Child Welfare Watch, which reports on critical issues in New York City child and family services. While visiting Iowa, Andrew interviewed DHS frontline and administrative staff, providers, parents, youth, judges, Decat and Community Partnership coordinators and others. As a result of these interviews, Andrew wrote an article on Iowa's efforts and this article appears in the Center for the Study of Social Policy publication, Scale of Change: Creating and Sustaining Collaborative Child Welfare Reform across Cities and States .
