About the Accreditation Bureau
The Bureau of Accreditation is responsible for reviewing providers of mental health and disability services for accreditation on a rotating schedule. Those responsibilities include:

Providing training and technical assistance to community based providers to support them in preparing for service accreditation review.

Developing and implementing accreditation and qualification standards for community based service providers in conjunction with the MHMRDDBI Commission.

Conducting provider reviews required as part of the facility/provider accreditation process as defined in Iowa Administrative Code Part 441, Chapter 24.
